The researchers working on this vegetable swear that it is more efficient than the majority of medications prescribed by the practitioners of modern medicine. Old Thoughts

From time immemorial, some of the civilizations understood the health benefits of raw potatoes. The people from such civilizations have been passing down the health tips that they have learned from their parents to the next generations orally. Since those tips were not backed with scientific reasons and thoughts, they were ignored by the modern generation. However, some of the members of older generations persistently used this folk tips to their advantage and remained healthy for many years. Even today, many from the contemporary generation don't believe that the potato juice has some disease-curing properties.

New Revelations

This belief about the raw potatoes is completely wrong. A latest study done by a group of researchers has found that some of the traditional beliefs regarding the curative property of potato are true. Apart from that, they have also found other health benefits the juice from potato slices can bring. However, they have added a word of caution. The sprouts and green parts of potatoes should removed, as they contain poisonous substances. The poison can be removed by peeling those parts off the flesh of the vegetable or tuber. Though there have been a lot of research on this topic in the past, the recent one conducted by Dr. John Tucakov has gone deeper into it. In the course of their research, the team has found that raw potato juice is the best natural cure for gastritis, which has now become more common stomach problem with those people who have irregular eating routines. Another researcher by the name Dr. John Lesindzer has also done an in-depth research on the health benefits of this wonderful tuber that comes at a lower cost. He is from Akita University School of Medicine in Japan. His work has been published in the International Congress journal. The Congress was recently held in Germany.

Curative Effects

The team lead by Dr. John Lesindzer has suggested that people should combine a tablespoon of fresh potato juice with water and consume the resultant mixture. If people regularly take this preparation, they will see some remarkable results in their body after a period of time. For better results, they should consume this remedy half an hour before the intake of food. If people suffer from duodenal problems, they should consume half a deciliter of the fresh potato juice, half an hour before both lunch and dinner. He further added that this tuber has much more to offer. According to him, his team has managed to isolate a biologically active compound from the raw potatoes that has been found to suppress tumours in laboratory mouse models. The other curative effects of raw potato juice are listed below for the easy reader reference.

  1. Helps in Detoxification of the Body

Choice Between Vegetarianism and Non-vegetarianism

Introduction

Now-a-days, people are becoming more conscious of the food they take in. Every milligram of food being taken by the people is now accounted for from the health perspective. It has been said that the non-vegetarians get lots of minerals from the meat products, whereas the vegetarians have lesser options from various vegetables. Often vegetarians find solace in the belief that they take lots of dairy products in their daily lives to offset for the lesser concentration of calcium in vegetables. But the truth of the matter is that dairy products and milk are not the best source of calcium. Instead, these dairies-based products cause osteoporosis in people over a long period of time. They do not have other significant side effects on the body , even if taken for a number of times in a day. There are other sources from where the calcium is obtained for vegetarians. In this blog, we would be looking at the other sources of calcium for vegetarians.
vegetarian vs non-vegetarian

Reality Check

The first thing one should know is that calcium is present in plants , and hence, the plant products do have sufficient calcium levels. For example, the plants such as blackstrap molasses, tofu, collard greens, tempeh, soya beans, kale, almonds, tahini, broccoli do have sufficient calcium concentrations. Even the plant-based milks are calcium fortified, some even have Vitamin B12. Hence, no need for the vegetarians to rely heavily upon the diary products for the calcium requirements. In reality, the increased the diary consumption may lead to a condition called osteoporosis marked by the depletion of calcium in bones, which in turn make it highly fragile. Apart from this, these plants and the products derived from them are also the excellent sources of protein, iron and other foods for good health.

Appeal to Mankind

After having understood other sources of calcium, why should we unnecessarily disturb the animal kingdom and kill the hapless animals to meet our mineral supplement needs. Animals would be thankful to us for saving them from the inevitable death to feed our tummies. More and more people are getting aware of this and are slowly gravitating towards the vegetarianism, after learning about the positive effects associated with it. If you look at the statistics, you would become aware that the percentage of vegetarians in the world population have increased steadily over last 10 years. Moreover,  the modern scientific studies have proved that vegetarians lived longer than those eat meat and other non-vegetarian items. Through this blog, I want to share this information so that more people can shift from non-vegetarianism to vegetarianism. We are looking forward for the days in the coming years when people would roll their tongue out and flood their mouth with saliva when they hear about the V word. Nevertheless, we are moving in the right direction and we need to work together to hasten the approach of those golden years when people cease to slaughter animals for meat.
food habit

Objective of this Blog

Through this blog, I appeal to people to shed their inclination for the meat-based food and participate in this novel cause to end the slaughter of animals in large numbers to supplement our food needs. Time and again, we have proved that we can achieve anything if we dream big together.
