Asus Unveils Smartphone with 13-megapixel Front and Back Cameras

Introduction

The noted mobile manufacturer Asus has come out with another Smartphone at Computex 2015 in Taipei. This is another addition to its ZenFone staple the company tries to bring into the market to reclaim the shrunken space through the selfie route. However, the Taiwanese company has not come out with the details about its availability and pricing approach.  The new mobile device in the staple is ZenFone Selfie.






Processing Power

The new Smartphone from Asus comes with a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor that has a computational power of 2.7GHz. The quality of graphics of this mobile is enhanced by the presence of Adreno 405 GPU. By default, the company comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt memory. On demand, it also gives 3GB and 32GB built-in memory support for more processing speed. The inbuilt memory can be expanded up to 64GB with the help of a micro-SD card. The dual-SIM device has a brand new Asus ZenUI layered on top of Android 5.0 operating system.

Other Features of ZenFone Selfie

The main highlight of this Smartphone is the presence of high-performance cameras. The device has onboard front and rear cameras that have the capacity of 13 megapixels.  The other features of these cameras include a f/2 aperture, 28-mm focus, laser autofocus and dual-colour Real Tone flash. The user interface for the camera has few more additions. They are Selfie Panorama, low-light, manual, beautification and backlight mode. Apart from these, these cameras also have zero shutter lag. The 5.5-inch HD IPS LCD display has a pixel density of 403ppi and onscreen resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. The HD display is protected from accidental scratch while tapping by the presence of Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The power backup for the device is given by a 300mAh battery. The company gives connectivity options such as GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G LTE, 3G, GPS/A-GPS, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac.
